Bean and I attended a unique Memorial Day ceremony today at the Santa Ana Cemetery. A Civil War hobbyist discovered that there were 7 Civil War Veterans buried here in unmarked graves. So that these soldiers will never be forgotten, they arranged for markers to be added to each of the grave sites.

Part of the ceremony included fife and drums....

Revolutionary soldiers with the laying of wreaths to remember their fallen....

Civil War Soldiers, canons, choirs, a 21 gun salute.....and of course taps. It was a very moving ceremony.

Private Horner finally gets his marker, 106 years after his passing. We are so thankful and appreciative of all of those that have served our country. You were not forgotten.
cool!
